This collection of local records consists of numerous deeds. Several early deeds are those of Daniel Cox, a proprietor of the town. Also generated by Cox is the Oxford township land grant by King James the Second in 1688 and Cox's 1737 will. In addition, the collection includes a 1749 estate appraisal, various militia lists and papers, tax lists, a record of Oxford baptisms, 1761-1800, several writs concerning Oxford residents, 1771-1774, the wills of Timothy Harris, 1775, and miscellaneous other legal documents and papers.
